Name five things you plan to do today. (The first four I've already done today. I've been busy on my day off!)
1. Try to get my hair to look halfway decent. I'm growing it out, and it has reached the awkward stage where it looks like crap. I had a trim early this week, and the girl made it look okay, and I even bought the $18 tub of "product" to help me, but of course I can't make it look like she did. So my goal was to find a new normal. And it's raining so of course it frizzed up immediately. But a lady in Talbot's (see goal #4) said she liked my hair. Go figure.
2. Help set up the book fair at WonderBoy and SuperGirl's elementary school. In my next life I am going to be a children's librarian. The sight of books just waiting to be opened gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
3. Have lunch with my friend. We lived together in seminary for a year, she knows me well, we think a lot alike, our kids are close in ages, and we laugh together, and we only live an hour apart, but it has been six months. Why do we not get together more often with those who know and love us?
4. Hit the Talbot's outlet sale with my friend. We did this, and ran into two area church educators we have known since seminary days. If all the churchy women are shopping there, it made me want to go somewhere else, just on principle. Is that wrong??
5. Ummmm.....that was the extent of my planning. Now I am waiting on the school bus. And trying to get over Duke's loss last night. I plan to find time to call my mom this afternoon and check on her. Three of eight chemo treatments down, and they are getting harder. Prayers are appreciated.

Sending prayers for your mom. May she receive God's healing, strength through the treatments, and peace.
Oh lord. I was trying to think who Duke was and what happened to him....!
My team lost yesterday too...University of North Texas...but it was totally expected so I have nothing to get over. ;)
Praying for your mom & you too.
Sorry about the Bball loss- go figure !
I don't go to Talbot's because (frankly) my caboose is too big. I always envy anyone who can wear their stuff, though. So I'll come along to cheer you on and not try on.
Chemo is rough... and yes it does build. God's peace!
