I guess I better stop, since the school bus will be here soon, and my schedule is full for the afternoon and evening. Day One, so far so good!

You go, Queen Mum! What's yours about? Mine is a slice of life from 1973: a family takes its annual vacation to the Jersey shore, coming of age stuff happens, mom is revealed to (Horrors!) have needs.
Blessings,
Mags
A mom with needs?? Surely not. It must be a fantasy book. Mine is about three sisters who meet weekly to clean out their parents' house, so their father can sell it. One of them is a single pastor. So far she's the only one I've written about. Maybe I won't get to the other two, or to the house, and it will turn into something else. Who knows? How is yours going?

Pretty well. The great think about this frame of NaNoWriMo is that I am a pretty competitive person (don't tell anyone... it's a pretty well-guarded secret. One friend saw through me in seminary, though, and she keeps me honest about it!). So I am really interested in watching that little meter tick up the number of words-- so silly, but whatever works, right?
I added a new character today, a youth leader who is ordained but can't get her own pulpit so she is doing youth work and preaching quarterly.
Do you feel like there's a little of you in every character?
I came up with a title today: Mermaid Prayers.
Do you want to share them when it's all over?
Blessings, Mags
I have no title yet. I hate titling sermons, since I really never know what the end point will be until I get there. I think the novel will be the same. Am having fun so far with it, but already my characters are doing things I hadn't planned on. And they are all me. I'll let you know about sharing when I see how it turns out!
Peace and Happy Writing

Another question: would you mind sharing your artist name with me so that I can see you on the NaNoWriMo website? We could make each other writing buddies...
Here's my email if you want to do it offblog:
